  • Housefull 5 trailer to drop soon- Akshay Kumar & 18 stars set to shine in epic launch!

Housefull 5 is one of the most eagerly awaited Bollywood films of the year. Ever since its announcement, fans have been looking forward to updates about this Sajid Nadiadwala production. With only 15 days left until the film’s release, excitement continues to grow. However, the trailer is yet to be released — a delay that has only heightened fans’ curiosity.

Trailer Launch Set for May 27

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the wait for the trailer is finally coming to an end. A source close to the project revealed that the trailer will be unveiled on Tuesday, May 27, during a grand event. All 19 lead actors of the film are expected to attend the launch, making it a star-studded affair.

The source added, “The makers have planned a strategic promotional campaign. They want to begin the final promotional phase ten days before the film’s release, starting with the trailer launch.”

    Strategic Timing Despite Fan Concerns

Some fans have questioned why the trailer is being released so close to the release date. However, insiders say producer Sajid Nadiadwala is confident in this approach. “The teaser and songs have already created strong hype,” said the source. “The teaser showed the film’s cruise setting and hinted at a chaotic murder mystery. The songs ‘Laal Pari’ and ‘Dil E Nadaan’ showcased the film’s rich visuals and catchy music. Now, the trailer will highlight the franchise’s signature comedy.”

Promotions to Go Full Throttle from May 27

Following the trailer launch, the promotional campaign will kick into full gear. “From 27 May onwards, there will be back-to-back promotions. Expect Housefull mania across all platforms,” the source added. The film is the first Bollywood comedy franchise to reach a fifth instalment, and the team is hopeful for its success.

  • Suniel Shetty reacts to backlash on his opinion on Athiya Shetty’s birthing choice, ‘If someone…’

Veteran actor Suniel Shetty has largely stayed away from making controversial statements. However, the actor found himself at the centre of online criticism for his comments on her daughter Athiya Shetty’s birthing choice. Now he has finally reacted to the online backlash.

Athiya Shetty welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Evaarah, with her husband KL Rahul in March 2025. However, months after the arrival of their daughter, a comment made by the senior star regarding Athiya’s birthing choices sparked a backlash from a section of fans.

Suniel Shetty reacts to online criticism

During a conversation with MoneyControl, Suniel Shetty addressed the backlash he received over his remarks on Athiya Shetty’s natural delivery. In a conversation with a publication, the Hera Pheri actor explained that his words were taken out of context and blown out of proportion.

He questioned the criticism, asking, “Just tell me, if someone goes through surgery, wouldn’t I know the outcome?” He further explained that in his earlier interview, he had spoken about the importance of a young father or man-to-be witnessing his wife’s delivery.

Clarifying his intentions, Shetty said he wanted to emphasize the immense sacrifice women make during childbirth and how that elevates them. “That’s why Maa ko Devi ka darja diya jata hai (That’s why mothers are considered goddess)— that’s all I had said,” he noted.

Although the Bollywood veteran believes his statement was misunderstood, he didn’t hesitate to extend an apology to those who were offended. “So, to all individuals who were offended, even if I did not make the mistake, I will sincerely apologize to all the ladies out there because I honestly appreciate and revere them,” said the Border actor.

  • Karnataka Minister Reacts to Tamannaah Bhatia as Mysore Sandal Brand Ambassador, says ‘It takes a lot…’

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has officially been appointed the brand ambassador for Mysore Sandal Soap by the Karnataka government. According to reports, including from Moneycontrol, the two-year endorsement deal is valued at Rs 6.20 crore. The announcement has drawn mixed reactions, triggering an online debate over the selection of a non-Kannadiga celebrity for a culturally iconic brand.

Social Media Divided Over Government’s Choice

While some applauded the move for aiming at a wider market, many netizens questioned why a local Kannada actress wasn’t chosen instead. Social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) were flooded with reactions such as, “Why is a Telugu actress endorsing a Karnataka product?” “Why not give this opportunity to someone like Rukmini Vasanth?”

Some users even argued that local influencers or non-celebrities would be happy to endorse the brand for free, expressing concern over the Rs 6.20 crore expenditure.

  • Sonu Nigam reacts strongly to his fake profile chatting with Lok Sabha member from Bengaluru

One of Bollywood’s most famous playback singers of the 21st century, Sonu Nigam, has lost his cool over a fake X (formerly Twitter) profile chatting with a Member of the Lok Sabha, Tejasvi Surya, from Bengaluru. The ‘Jeene Ke Hain Chaar Din’ singer lashed out at the media for not realising that the account was fake and falsely quoting him following the Kannada language row.

Screenshots of the tweets were shared by Mr Nigam on his official Instagram.

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, Sonu Nigam lashed out at the media for falsely quoting him over an imposter’s interaction with Member of the Lok Sabha, Tejasvi Surya, on X (formerly Twitter). The screenshot showed the imposter indulging in a debate with Surya, following Mr Nigam’s Kannada language controversy. A post shared by Tejasvi Surya read:

“This behaviour by @TheOfficialSBI Branch Manager is simply not acceptable. If you are doing customer interface work in Karnataka, especially in a sector like banking , it is important to communicate to customers in the language they know. Being adamant like this is simply not right. I have time and again raised this issue of mandatorily posting local staff or staff who know the local language in banking operations, both inside and outside Parliament.”

He added, “Just a few weeks ago, at a Public Accounts Committee meeting, I had raised this issue to the DFS Secretary who assured me action will be taken to follow a office notification that makes this requirement of local language knowledge compulsory. Looks like this still isn’t being enforced properly. I urge the concerned at @TheOfficialSBI to immediately implement the DFS policy that mandates local language requirement.”

The post concluded with Mr Surya saying, “I have spoken to concerned authorities to take action against this manager who has behaved in this manner. Banks working in Karnataka should serve customers in Kannada. Period.”

Sonu Nigam slams media for falsely quoting him

Sonu Nigam’s imposter account quoted the aforementioned tweet by Tejasvi Surya, and wrote, “Don’t dub Kannada movies in Hindi! Don’t release Kannada movies pan-India! Do you have the guts to say this to Kannada film stars, Mr. @Tejasvi_Surya , or you are just another language warrior?” The tweet led some media houses to falsely mistake the account as the singer’s official.

  • ‘Ace’ X Review: Vijay Sethupathi and Rukmini Vasanth lend their charm to a formulaic plot that plays safe

Vijay Sethupathi is back on the big screen with Ace. The film, toplined by him and co-starring the beautiful Rukmini Vasanth, has opened in cinemas across South India on Friday, May 23, 2025. While the motion picture is proving to be a fair entertainer for the fans of its leading actors, it has opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. Ace, which unfolds across eye-catching Malaysian locales, strives to entertain with its comedy, crime, and romance.

Those who saw the trailer of the motion picture were promised a decent cocktail of the aforementioned genres. Thankfully, the film proves to be an easygoing watch, thanks to Sethupathi, Yogi Babu, and Vasanth’s respective character projections.

Ace tries to thrive on its doses of dark humour and high-stakes drama, with a blend of the crime sub-genre. Maharaja star Vijay Sethupathi leads the star cast and impresses with his light-hearted performance. The full-length feature is quick-paced and packed with humour and eccentric characters.

While the story has been called predictable and formulaic, it seems like Vijay Sethupathi has managed to work his charm yet again, and that his performance will manage to drive the film solely. X (formerly Twitter) users shared their experience of watching the film.
